Other people look at your post and say, "I never thought of that. That's so cool!" Then they push the plus(i.e. +) button on your post. VOILA!!! You get a point! On the other hand, if someone looks at your boring post and says, "That the dumbest post eveh," and clicks on the minus(i.e. -) button on your post you lose a point.

I think points are from how active you are on the site...

Yes, the more active you are, the more points. Its basically a more detailed post count. There is a specific way to get a lot of points for fewer posts, but that's a secret ;)

dont think that even with my admin powers that i couldn't configure my points, but yes i found out a way without hacking XD
